How can I change the Country Package I’m using?

If you have more than one Country Package you will likely need to switch between (or combine maps from) different country data. This article will show you how to change your country package as well as combine your maps.

 

Change Country Package in a New Workspace

  1. Open Maptitude or go to File>New Workspace
  2. Click Change Country… in the bottom left
  3. Select the country you want Maptitude to use for this workspace
  4. Click OK

Change Default Country Package

  1. Go to Edit>Preferences
  2. Choose the Locating tab
  3. Click next to the Default Data Region
  4. Select the country package you want Maptitude to default to
  5. Click OK

Add a New Map From a Different Country Package

  1. Go to Map>New Map
  2. Click in the bottom right
  3. Select the country you want Maptitude to use for this map
  4. Click Finish

Adding a Country Package to the Region Manager

  1. Open up the Region Manager from Change Country… when opening up new Workspace or the Edit>Preferences menu
  2. Click Add…
  3. Browse to the downloaded Country Package folder
  4. Select the JavaScript file (e.g. “us.region”) 
  5. Click Open

Combine Maps

  1. Make sure you have a workspace open with multiple maps
  2. Go to Map>Combine
  3. Select the layers from the available maps that you would like to include
  4. Click OK
