How Do I Use Updated Country Data in My Maps?

You can utilize updated country data in your maps by using mapping software.

In desktop Maptitude, after downloading and installing the latest version of the country package data, any new maps that you create will utilize the latest data available for your country.

You can try mapping in your country by using your own license of Maptitude or requesting a free trial of Maptitude mapping software.

You can update the country data for existing maps by following the steps below:

  • First, locate the folder for the older version of the country package files. By default, this is located in C:\ccdata\… For example, the older version of the USA country data is located in C:\ccdata\USA (HERE) – 20XX Quarter 4\
  • Delete or rename the folder containing the older version of the country package.
  • Try to open any of your existing workspaces, you will likely see a File Not Found message.
  • Choose The files are stored on my hard disk or my network and click Browse.
  • Browse to the folder containing the newer version of the country package files. By default, this is located in C:\ccdata\… For example, the newer version of the USA country data is located in C:\ccdata\USA (HERE) – 20XX Quarter 4\
  • Select the missing file and click Open.

Maptitude will open the existing workspace using the new version of the country data.
