Maptitude GISDK Help |
The CreateMap() GISDK function is used to create a new, empty map window. When you create a map you must set the scope of the map, and you can also choose the menu and toolbar that are attached to the map, the activate macro, the close macro, and the scale-change macro.
When you create a map, you give the map a name. Map names must be unique. If you inadvertently try to create two maps with identical names, GISDK appends a ":1" to the end of the name of the second map.
When you first create a map using GISDK, the map has no features in it. You make the map more informative by adding map layers from geographic and image files, and more interesting by adding freehand items, which in GISDK are known as annotations.
