For National Cookie Day, we used Google Trends to explore state-by-state cookie preferences across the U.S. by analyzing search data over the past 12 months. We looked at popular cookie types—from classics like Chocolate Chip and Sugar Cookies to regional favorites like Biscotti and Thumbprint Cookies—to see which ones stood out by state. By comparing the relative search interest for each cookie type in each state, we were able to identify the most-searched cookie in each location. This approach captures a snapshot of recent search trends, offering an interesting perspective on how cookie preferences vary across the country based on Google’s publicly available data.
