For National Pharmacist Day (January 12) we examined the locations of 24,000 pharmacists and pharmacy technicians (found in the Caliper Healthcare Provider layer) to show the concentration of pharmacists per 100,000 population in the United States. Puerto Rico has the greatest concentration of pharmacists (27.7), followed by Oregon (24.5) and Washington (13.3). The Virgin Islands has the lowest concentration of pharmacists (1.1), followed by Vermont (3.4) and Wisconsin (3.5).
