For National Sandwich Day, we used Google Trends to explore state-by-state sandwich preferences across the U.S. by analyzing search data over the past 12 months. We looked at popular sandwich types—from classics like ham and cheese and reubens to regional favorites like shrimp rolls and po boys—to see which ones stood out by state. By comparing the relative search interest for each sandwich type in each state, we were able to identify the most-searched sandwich in each location. This approach captures a snapshot of recent search trends, offering an interesting perspective on how sandwich preferences vary across the country based on Google’s publicly available data.
