Household Wine and Cheese Spending

The Consumer Expenditure data included with Maptitude contains annual household expenditure estimates for nearly 400 different products at the Census Tract level. For National Wine and Cheese Day (July 25) we aggregated the expenditure data to compare the household spending on wine and cheese among the states with the results shown below. The states with the highest average annual household spending on wine and cheese are New Hampshire ($351), Massachusetts ($345), and Connecticut ($335) and the lowest spending is in Mississippi ($229), Louisiana ($249), and Alabama ($256).
